Lowell joined Burney Company in 1986, became a Portfolio Manager in 1992, was promoted to Director of Analysis in 1996 and became President in 2003. Lowell earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1989, has a BS in Finance and Economics from Virginia Tech and an MS in Banking and Financial Management from Boston University.
Lowell enjoys spending time with family and friends at Lake Anna, Virginia and supports various charitable organizations supporting education for the disadvantaged and two local homeless shelters supporting single women and their children. Lowell is passionate about environmental conservation and is heavily involved in addressing the Harmful Algal Bloom problem at Lake Anna, where his efforts have transitioned from studying and understanding the issue to a $100,000 pilot mitigation project.

Adam Newman is a Managing Partner at Burney Wealth Management. Adam is responsible for overseeing the ongoing management of client financial plans, annual financial planning updates, and investment portfolio reviews. His expertise is in comprehensive financial planning, retirement income planning, tax planning, and investment policy development.
Adam graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Applied Economics and also received a Master of Taxation degree from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law. He is a CFA Charterholder as well as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner. In 2020, Adam completed additional technical training in retirement planning through the Retirement Income Certified Professional® program at the American College of Financial Services.
Adam and his wife Emily enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and catching local concerts and sporting events.
Bijal has over 25 years of leadership experience and an interest in the markets and wealth creation that stem from buying his first stock at the age of 14. Today, he works with clients and contributes to our investment and wealth management strategies. He also leads and mentors other staff members, which has contributed to Burney Company being recognized as one of CNBC’s Top 100 Financial Advisors.
Bijal resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife Jinu, two children and two foster children. When he’s not in the office or traveling to visit clients, Bijal enjoys working in the garden and tackling small projects around the house. He is also an avid bowler, mentor to at-risk teenagers and volunteers at after school programs at several Richmond-area highschools.

Andy Pratt, CFA, CAIA is a Senior Partner and the Director of Investment Strategy at Burney Wealth Management. He started with Burney in 2012 and now focuses primarily on Burney’s investment strategies and trading operations, where he and his team are responsible for managing over 2,000 accounts and $1 billion in assets under management. He enjoys the challenge of blending Burney’s long-standing investment process with new ideas and technology.
Andy graduated from Virginia Tech with degrees in Economics and Psychology. He is a CFA Charterholder, earning his Charter in 2017, as well as a CAIA Charterholder, an alternative investments designation, earned in 2020. Andy lives in Cascades, VA with his wife and two kids. Outside of work, he stays busy coaching swimming and diving at a handful of local high schools. He is an avid sports fan rooting for all the DC teams and prefers to stay active throughout the year whether that is snowboarding in the winter, wake surfing in the summer, or adult recreational sports.
Yevgeniy is a Senior Partner and the Director of Operations. He began his career with Burney Company in 2000 as an Equity Analyst after graduating from American University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. In 2004, he earned a PhD in Economics from Kuban State University in Krasnodar, Russia, then transitioned to Portfolio Management as Head of Operations and Trading. In 2009, he became a Portfolio Manager.
Kyle is a Partner and Wealth Advisor on our team. He works at our Nashville office advising individuals, families, and business owners in financial planning, investments, tax minimization, and risk management.
In his free time, Kyle enjoys spending time in the city, cheering on the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators with his wife, Brittany. In the summer, you will find him wakeboarding on the lake and in the winter traveling west to hit the ski slopes.

Joel is a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Burney Wealth Management. He has spent the majority of his career with the firm, joining in 2016 as a Research Analyst in the firm’s analytical group. He then started in his Portfolio Manager role in 2019 and is involved in the managing and trading of Burney Wealth Management’s investment strategy and client portfolios. Joel earned his CFA and CAIA charters in 2020. He graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Economics, George Mason University with an M.A. in Economics, and holds the series 65 license.
Joel is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Washington, DC. He is an avid skier and enjoys going on ski trips every winter season. He also enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his fiancé and their two dogs.
Russ is a Director, Investment Advisor with almost 30 years of investment management and client relationship experience. His client-centered, door is always open approach has helped countless individuals and families realize their investment and financial goals. He is responsible for investment reviews, client outreach and helping new clients reach their investment goals.
During his work balanced lifestyle, Russ can be found in the Colorado mountains hiking, exploring and cycling. He enjoys riding road, gravel and mountain bikes.
Russ, his wife Sharon and their dog Annabelle, split time between Longmont, CO and Alpharetta, GA, where their son Justin and daughter Abby live respectively.
Russ graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Finance and concentration in investments. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Rhonda Collins joined Burney Wealth Management in 2023 to help support advisors in tax planning conversations with clients. With over 25 years of industry experience, Rhonda is a licensed CPA in four states, has her EA certification, and is an NTPI Fellow®, demonstrating her exceptional proficiency in interpreting tax laws and assisting clients in applying them to their unique situations.
Originally from Ohio, Rhonda graduated from Franklin University in Columbus, where she earned her bachelor's degree in accounting and master's degree in business administration. Currently residing in Florida, she shares her home with her three beloved "fur children," Remi, Olivia, and Ariel.
Hobbies & Interests
During her leisure time, Rhonda enjoys paddle boarding, kayaking, cycling, gardening, and traveling. Additionally, she actively volunteers with VITA (Volunteer IRS Tax Assistance) and contributes her time to a local animal rescue organization.Ben is a Wealth Management Advisor in the Reston, VA office. He has been working with families and business owners since entering the industry. In his role with Burney Wealth Management, Ben works closely with clients to guide them through financial goals, concentrating in comprehensive financial planning strategies covering retirement, estate, education, investment, and tax planning as they pertain to clients’ goals.
Ben completed his undergrad studies from Christendom College with a degree in Political Science and Economics and received his master’s in financial planning (MSFP) from the American College of Financial Services.
Ben is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and in 2022 completed the Retirement Income Certified Professional® program at the American College of Financial Services.
Ben and his wife, Katy, currently reside in Catlett, VA, with their two children and their dog, Copper. In his free time, Ben enjoys getting outdoors, golfing, keeping the grass cut, starting very involved house projects right before company is coming over, cold adult beverages and spending time with friends and family.
Brenna joined Burney Wealth Management in 2018. As a Financial Planning Coordinator on the team, Brenna is responsible for preparing, monitoring, and updating client financial plans. She gathers financial reports and records to review. With this information, she assists the planning team to make appropriate recommendations to clients. Brenna resides in Fairfax, VA. Outside of work she coaches for the Annandale High School Dance Team where she trains dancers in a variety of styles. Brenna earned her BS in Marketing from George Mason University. She is a CFP® professional and a Registered Investment Advisor Representative.
As a Wealth Advisor, Roch collaborates with individuals and families to build financial plans that enable them to live the lives they want to live both today and tomorrow. This is done by focusing on every pertinent area of one’s financial picture, such as cash flow and investment planning, and even well-being.
Roch earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2016 and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2018. He is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
Roch and his wife, Taylor, reside in Knoxville, TN. In his spare time, you can find him reading, exercising, spending time outside with his friends and family, or vacuuming up hair from his two dogs, Charlie and Chief.
Robbie works to ensure the needs of clients are met quickly and efficiently. It is the daily interactions with those that he works with and serves that gets him up and excited about each day.
In his free time, you will likely find Robbie on a long walk with his wife, Martha, and their dog, Duncan. Robbie loves wake surfing and snowboarding, depending on the season, but year round can be found outdoors playing Ultimate Frisbee.
Brian Quantrille is an Associate Wealth Advisor. In his role, he works alongside Wealth Advisors to create, present, and implement custom financial plans for clients. He joined Burney Wealth Management in 2021, shortly after receiving his BS in finance with a concentration in financial planning from Virginia Tech. Brian is a Registered Investment Advisor Representative and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner. He lives in Arlington, Virginia, and in his free time can be found outdoors, attending sporting events, and cheering on his hometown Boston sports teams from afar.
Bridjett has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry. She is the first point of contact for clients and serves as liaison between them and their advisors. She also prepares and assists clients with a myriad of custodian account forms, including portfolio management, trading and portfolio reconciliation, and is currently preparing for the Series 65 license examination.
Bridjett enjoys being with her family, traveling, dancing, listening to music, attending live concert performances, learning acoustic guitar and continuing education in financial services, investments and markets arenas. She is also an active member of her church, where she volunteers at the local clothing ministry.
Anne Arden is a key member of our Client Service team enhancing the client experience as a liaison between clients and our Wealth Advisors. She has previous experience working with clients in the financial software industry.
Anne Arden is originally from Jacksonville, FL and moved to Arlington, VA in August 2022. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Innovation.
Erin joined the Burney Company in 2023 as member of our client service team. As a client service associate, Erin works as a liaison between clients and our wealth advisors. Erin graduated from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) in 2021 and has lived in the Northern Virginia area her whole life.
Outside of work she enjoys running, watching Washington Capitals hockey, going on walks with her Cavapoo puppy, Leo, and spending time with friends and family.
Sherrie’s expertise is in retirement planning, as it relates to life planning. She also works with charitably minded clients on qualified charitable distributions, manages customized equity portfolios and designs tailored financial plans.
Sherrie and her husband, Mike, have two wonderful children. She lives in Watkinsville, Georgia, and enjoys waterfall hikes, watching UGA sporting events, reading, and staying active in her church.

Fariba joined Burney in 1989 and concentrates on daily trading and management of investment accounts. She has a dual language proficiency (in English and Farsi).
Fariba Lives in Reston, Virginia with her son. In her spare time, she likes to dance, paint, travel and master her love for the Spanish language.

AJ joined the Burney Company in 2021, starting as an intern. He now supports our Portfolio Management team as an Investment Analyst where he focuses on securities analysis, reporting, trading, and managing client accounts.

Alex joined Burney Company in 2012, and is responsible for our proprietary models, analyzing portfolio performances and researching and preparing studies on macro trends. She is a quant by training and has a wide range of experience in the financial services industry, including analytical positions with Georgina Asset Management, the Virginia College Savings Plan, and the Virginia Resources Authority’s Bond Issuing Program.
Alex is working toward her PhD in Economics from Virginia Tech, and she is the co-founder of a non-profit organization that advocates for children from immigrant families and offers free music lessons to economically disadvantaged kids in her community

Martin joined Burney Company in 1992 and has over a decade of experience implementing Burney’s proprietary models and is a member of the Technology Committee, overseeing the IT infrastructure.
Hannah joined the Burney Company in 2018, starting as intern, and now works in the Analytical Group as an Information Technology Specialist.
Outside of work she enjoys attending Capitals hockey games, and spending time with friends and family.
She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2020 with a BS in Business Information Technology (go Hokies!).
